Behind the Scenes: How We Choose Vendors to Feature on CMH
Welcome to Trade Secrets Thursday! Ever wonder how certain vendors get the spotlight on Community Market Hub? Whether it’s a featured vendor blog, a boosted social media post, or homepage placement — it’s not just random.
In this post, we’ll walk you through how we choose vendors to feature, what you can do to increase your chances, and how being featured can boost your store’s visibility and trust.
How We Choose Vendors to Feature on CMH
1. You Must Be an Active Vendor
You Must Be an Active Vendor
A complete and active store shows us (and customers) that you’re ready to be promoted.
If you haven’t uploaded any products or your store is incomplete, we can’t feature you yet. The foundation of a successful feature starts with a fully functional store that shows effort and attention.
We look for vendors who:
- Have at least 2 products listed
- Use clear photos and descriptions
- Update their store when needed
2. You’ve Filled in the Vendor Intro Form

This is your chance to tell us your story! The more we know about your business, the better the blog post, feature box, or social caption we can create — and the more personal your feature becomes.
Your intro form tells us:
-
What makes your brand unique
-
What you sell (and why you’re passionate about it)
-
Your story, journey, and experience
We use your responses to write engaging blog content that builds emotional trust with shoppers.
3. You’ve Shown Effort Promoting Your Store

You’re not invisible — even small promotion goes a long way!
You don’t need a huge following — but you do need effort. The vendors who get featured are those who consistently show up, even in small ways.
We notice when you:
-
Share your CMH store link on WhatsApp or Facebook
-
Join campaigns or participate in market week promotions
-
Tag CMH, reply to our comments, or message us
Visibility is a team effort, and we notice the vendors who show up.
4. You Have a Clear Product Niche or Unique Selling Point
You Have a Clear Product Niche or Unique Selling Point
Having a niche or clear product identity makes it easier for us to present your store as a standout vendor.
We love vendors who:
-
Focus on a clear product category (e.g. candles, crochet, digital downloads, art workshops)
-
Offer custom items or regional/local flair
-
Communicate their product story or brand purpose clearly
When your product line feels curated or purposeful, it’s easier to feature — and easier to remember.
Niche = memorable.
5. You’ve Interacted With CMH (Even Just Once!)
You’ve Interacted With CMH
We prioritize real people over silent store listings. You don’t need to be loud — but we do love to feature those who’ve made some effort to be part of the CMH journey.

Have you:
-
Replied to a vendor message?
-
Attended a workshop or joined our WhatsApp group?
-
Sent us your logo or engaged on a post?
We remember the vendors who connect with us — because CMH is more than a platform, it’s a partnership
