Spending 5 hours of his time—he cleared a walking path at a park near Benoni so that people, including himself, could comfortably walk their dogs. Rollo and Spotty, his loyal companions, often accompany him on walks, but with the overgrown grass, the path had become difficult and unpleasant to navigate. Instead of waiting for someone else to fix the problem, he decided to take action himself.
Why This Matters
This wasn’t just about cutting grass. It was about leading by example, showing the same hard-working, no-excuses attitude that CMH and Proboost Performance stand for. While there is another individual who sometimes hires a team to cut the grass at his own cost, there aren’t many people willing to put in the work for free. “Vandag het ek Community Market Hub se naam hoog gehou. Ek het gedoen wat jy doen, my moer los gewerk, maar ek het dit gedoen oor ek mense wil help. Jy’s ‘n goeie invloed op my en ‘n goeie pel.”
(Translation: “Today, I upheld Community Market Hub’s name. I did what you do—I worked my ass off, but I did it because I want to help people. You’re a great influence on me and a good friend.”)
